Meet Bus At: N. Utica Plaza, Herkimer Rd., (west side of lot, near Colozzi) BUS LEAVES AT 9:15 a.m. SHARP!

* 44 Passenger Hale bus
* Guided tour of the Greystone Castle, Canastota (a spectacular events center in the former Methodist Episcopal Church, circa 1910). On the National Register of Historic Places.
* Tour of the Canastota Canal Town Museum, (a canal-era former bakery and residence on the banks of the original Erie Canal, circa 1873 ). On the National Register of Historic Places.
* Luncheon at Canastota’s Theodore’s Restaurant (includes salad, soup, a variety of sandwiches, coffee and soda).
* Tour of the Gerrit Smith Estate National Historic Landmark and Abolition Hall of Fame, Peterboro, NY. A National Park Service Network To Freedom Underground Railroad site, a Heritage NY Underground Railroad site, and a Madison County Freedom Trail site. Gerit Smith was born 1797 in Utica, visited #3 Rutger Park, and was an American social reformer, abolitionist, businessman, public intellectual, and philanthropist. He ran for President of the United States in 1848, 1856, and 1860.
